Consuelo Kurz b. 1927
- Consuelo who was born in Panama and came to the U.S. in 1932; after graduating from high school she worked as a registered nurse, occasionally taking an art class. She has lived and painted in Oregon since 1986. "I feel that the symbols I paint are metaphors of experiences in my life... some people do not understand my art, but it is who I am. My art expresses what I cannot say in words."
